The Monthly Recap #4

Monthly Recap

Hey guys!

I feel like August just flew by and I almost forgot to do a recap…But luckily today was a school holiday and I decided to make use of my free time. School started halfway through last month so I apologize for the fact that I published fewer posts toward the second half of the month. I don’t think I’ll be able to blog every other day anymore (especially now that I’m taking AP World History!) but I’m still going to try to blog once or twice every week. I was also nominated for a couple of awards and if you nominated me, I assure you I haven’t forgotten. I just haven’t found the time to put together the blog post.

  1. I really need to start finding a few awesome comics to indulge in, broaden my reading horizons! Do you have any funny ones to recommend? I feel like most I’ve seen are manga type ones that probably wouldn’t be my thing. The Walking Dead ones look awesome though, so looking for recommendations like those, with a hooking storyline. Hooray for getting that reading challenge under control. I’m happy to be in front at the moment too, it’s giving me room to slack off on my reading and enjoy HUGE books with lots of pages and be able to take my time with them. Thanks for sharing poppet and here’s to another month of awesome reads! ❤

    1. Well I mostly read Marvel or DC comics (not really any manga) and the focus isn’t usually on being funny. But I do remember reading Amazing Spiderman and loving it because of the main character’s sense of humor. The storyline definitely hooked in the Black Widow comics. I really love female super heroes so I also love Silk and Spider Woman. I think the plot is pretty good for most of the comics I read but they’re not that funny (sorry I can’t be more helpful!.. maybe just read the preview?). Thanks! Yess that’s kind of what I’m doing..I’m trying to make time to read all the big books while I still have reading time 😀 Thanks for stopping by! ❤

I love reading a ton of them and feeling like I’ve been hard at work reading when, ya know, PRETTY PICTURES. hehe But comics tell SUCH great stories and I love them a lot! I wish my library had more. x)
